How do I send GIFs?
GIFs are a fun way to express yourself in conversations! You can search for and send GIFs directly in your chats.
How to Send a GIF
- Open the Chats tab and select a conversation
- Tap the GIF icon in the message input area
- Search for a GIF using keywords or browse trending GIFs
- Select a GIF and press Send
- The GIF will appear in the chat as a preview
- Before it's sent, you can:
- Tap the shuffle icon to generate an alternative GIF with the same search term
- Tap the send icon to send the GIF to your match
- Tap the X icon to cancel and remove the GIF
Tips for Using GIFs
- Use specific keywords when searching to find the perfect GIF
- If you don't like the GIF preview, use the shuffle icon to see alternative options before sending
- GIFs are a great way to add personality and humor to your conversations
- You can't reply to GIF messages, but you can react to them with emojis
- GIFs load automatically when your match opens the conversation
Troubleshooting
- If GIFs aren't loading, check your internet connection
- Make sure you have the latest version of the OtterHalf app installed
- If you're having trouble finding a GIF, try different search terms
