❓ What are OtterHalf Surveys?

OtterHalf surveys are how we learn directly from our South Asian community — through surveys, interviews, and other feedback — so we can improve the dating experience on OtterHalf and better serve our community.

🧠 Why does OtterHalf send surveys?

Our mission is to create a less lonely world by inspiring intimate, in-person connections within the South Asian community. To do that well, we need to hear what's actually happening in your dating life. Surveys help us understand your experience so we can design a better app — and get you out on great dates.

💬 How does OtterHalf collect feedback?

We learn from our community in a few ways:

• Surveys — These might show up in the OtterHalf app or land in your inbox
• Interviews — Inviting members to share their dating experiences
• Feedback Collection — Asking for input to help us build features that matter to the South Asian dating community

📭 I'm not on OtterHalf anymore. Why did I get a survey?

You might still hear from us even if you're not currently using OtterHalf. That's intentional! We want to learn from a wide range of experiences — including people who've taken a break, had a tough time, or found a great relationship and moved on. All of that helps us improve OtterHalf for everyone.

🌍 Who does OtterHalf want to hear from?

We want to learn from all members of the South Asian community — across gender identities, sexual orientations, cultural backgrounds, and dating goals. Our surveys are grounded in inclusivity, building with and not for our community.

🔐 How is my data used in surveys?

Just as with dating, consent is key. If you are invited to participate in an OtterHalf survey, you are free to opt in or decline – the choice is yours. We want to hear from you to create aggregate insights to benefit OtterHalf and our South Asian community, and your individual responses will be deleted or anonymized pursuant to our Privacy Policy. Your voice helps us see the bigger picture, and we respect your privacy in return.

For interviews, you'll similarly learn more about the study at the start and be asked if you want to continue. Across any survey or feedback collection, you can opt out at any time.

📧 I got an email about participating in a survey. Is this from OtterHalf?

Surveys will only contact you via our official @otterhalf.co email addresses, and we won't contact you from any other email addresses. If you see an email that looks like it's from us, but the address doesn't end in @otterhalf.co, please reach out to us or email us at hello@otterhalf.co so we can review.
