How do I edit my profile?
Your profile sets the stage for meaningful connections—here's some basics on how to make it feel like you.
OtterHalf members are required to have between four to six photos, depending on local requirements, along with three prompt answers.
This helps create a more three-dimensional picture of who you are so that other members can get to know the real you.
To Edit Your Profile Information:
- 1Tap your Photo Icon (bottom right of the navigation bar).
- 2Tap the Pencil Icon next to your profile photo.
- 3Scroll down to update details like:
- Identity: Pronouns, Gender, Sexuality, Who You're Interested In.
- My Virtues: Job, Education, Religious Beliefs, Hometown, Languages Spoken, Dating Intentions.
- My Vitals: Name, Age, Height, Location, Ethnicity, Family Plans, Pets, Zodiac Sign.
- My Vices: Drinking, Smoking, Marijuana, Drugs.
(In this example, we're showing how to change your Pronouns)
- 4To display or hide any details, tap the square next to "Visible on Profile"
- 5When you're happy with your changes, tap the Back arrow < at the top.
- 6Tap Done to save your changes.
Want to see how your profile looks to other users?
- 1Within the OtterHalf app, tap your Photo Icon.
- 2Tap the Pencil Icon.
- 3Tap the word View at the top of your screen.
How to Add Languages Spoken to Your Profile:
To add Languages Spoken to your profile, please follow the steps below:
- 1Tap your Photo icon > Pencil Icon.
- 2Scroll down and tap Languages Spoken under My Virtues
- 3Start typing a language or scroll through the list to select one.
- 4Tap the square next to Visible on Profile to display this info.
Please note: You must select from the languages available on the list.
How to Update Your Location:
Moving or just fine-tuning your location? Here's how:
- 1Go to your Profile Settings
- 2Tap on Location under My Vitals
- 3Enter your new city or allow location access to automatically update
- 4Tap Save to update your location
