Report Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation

OtterHalf's Commitment
OtterHalf has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) content or behavior on our platform. We are committed to protecting children and will take immediate action against any user who violates this policy.
All reports of suspected CSAE are taken with the utmost seriousness. When we obtain actual knowledge of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A).
What to Report
Please report any of the following immediately:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any images, videos, or other content depicting sexual abuse or exploitation of minors
- Online Enticement: Any attempts by adults to solicit, groom, or entice minors for sexual purposes
- Child Sex Trafficking: Any content or behavior related to the commercial sexual exploitation of children
- Unsolicited Obscene Material: Sending sexually explicit content to minors
- Underage Users: Profiles or accounts belonging to individuals under 18 years of age
- Suspicious Behavior: Any behavior that suggests an adult is targeting or attempting to exploit a minor
How to Report
If you encounter suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation on OtterHalf:
- Report Immediately: Use the report function in the app or contact us directly at csae@otterhalf.app
- Provide Details: Include as much information as possible:
- Screenshots or descriptions of the content or behavior
- The user's profile information (username, photos, bio)
- Date and time of the incident
- Any relevant conversation history or messages
- Do Not Share: Do not share, save, or forward any suspected CSAE content. Report it immediately and let our team handle it.
What Happens After You Report
When you report suspected CSAE:
- Immediate Action: Our team reviews all CSAE reports and takes appropriate action to remove content and suspend accounts when violations are confirmed
- NCMEC Reporting: When we obtain actual knowledge of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), we report it to NCMEC's CyberTipline as required by law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A)
- Law Enforcement: NCMEC coordinates with appropriate law enforcement agencies to investigate and take action
- Data Preservation: We preserve all relevant data and evidence for law enforcement investigations
- Account Termination: Users found to have violated our CSAE policy are permanently banned and may face criminal prosecution
Important Information
- Confidentiality: Your report is confidential. We will not share your identity with the reported user.
- False Reports: Making false reports of CSAE is a serious offense and may result in legal consequences. Only report content or behavior you genuinely believe involves child sexual abuse or exploitation.
- No Retaliation: We take steps to protect reporters from retaliation and will not tolerate any attempts to intimidate or harm those who report CSAE.
