No Tolerance for Hate Speech or Harassment

OtterHalf is for respect and real connection. We expect everyone to treat each other with respect—no exceptions. Our community includes people of all backgrounds and beliefs, and we stand by that.

We do not allow hate speech or harassment. Hate speech is content that attacks someone based on race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.

What breaks our Terms of Service?

  • Derogatory or dehumanizing language toward a person or group
  • Harmful generalizations based on identity
  • Threats or incitement of violence
  • Promoting discrimination
  • Offensive or harassing messages

What happens when someone posts hate speech?

Accounts that violate our Terms may be banned.

How to report hate speech or harassment

  • Open the person’s profile
  • Tap the three dots in the top-right corner
  • Choose Report and pick the reason that fits
